Music has always been a part of me. I was introduced to music when I was 6 when my mother enrolled my brother and me for piano lessons at the nearest music center. I always found the idea of being able to play such a beautiful progression with my hands very interesting.
It felt like a more expansive language to express in more dynamics than the limitations of the common languages.
I would then regularly simply pick up my guitar and express the complex emotions I would be feeling at the moment by gently plucking the copper strings of my black and overused acoustic guitar.
I have given 8 levels of Trinity Rock & Pop exams in guitar and scored distinction in my grade 8 exam of Trinity

My passion for music continued to grow throughout my school years. I joined the school band and played guitar in the school band. I also started composing my own tunes. I loved being able to share my music with others and see the joy it brought them.
In high school, I founded a western music appreciation club. I wanted to create a space where students could learn about and appreciate western music. We held weekly meetings where we listened to music, learned about different genres, and played instruments. We also organized events and performances.
One of our most successful events was a concert that we put on in the school auditorium. We invited local musicians to perform and we also had a few of our own members perform. The concert was a huge success and it helped to raise awareness of western music in our school.
We also competed in a few music competitions. We didn’t always win, but we always had a lot of fun. The competitions helped us to learn and grow as musicians.
My experience with the western music appreciation club was an amazing one. It helped me to share my passion for music with others and it helped me to grow as a musician. I am grateful for the opportunity to have founded the club and I am proud of all that we accomplished.
